The cartoon misrepresents the facts; the Ryan plan was passed by the House along with one other bill that would have stopped the down grade. The House has shown leadership with more than 6 trillion in cuts instead of 2.5 trillion that the administration reluctantly passed by holding Reid’s feet to the fire. Now somehow it’s not enough and once again it’s someone else’s fault. (I didn’t realize that President Bush was still in office). The picture should depict the White House with Reid and Nancy heading home in their private jets. Yes, Reid’s subsides airport pays for jet service to his back door and Nancy’s public / private Air Force jet provided at public expense, with $200K + in liquor bills. Put that in a cartoon.
